Japanese Ashikaga Flower Park in the city of Ashikaga Tochigi, Honsyu province has a spectacular display of flowering trees. It's worth checking out their site if you can't visit. The UC Botanical Garden has only a few trees as large and magnificient.
- The Coast Redwood (also known as the Giant Redwood, California Redwood or Coastal Sequoia) is the only living species in the genus Sequoia. The average lifespan of a coast redwood is 500 to 700 years.
