Dragon scale bracelet by Karen Park. The scales are 4x7mm magatama beads in a matte metallic color, antique bronze AB. (Magatama beads look like a tiny shoe but when woven side by side like this, look just like scales.). The inside beads are size 8 seed beads in “Green Tea”. The bangle works up quite easily in brick stitch for the length and peyote stitch to zip up the strip into a tube shape. Ms. Park noted that sizing it was tricky. Might make a closure type bracelet instead of a bangle.
Five-Strand Plaited Cuff by Julie Powell. Tiny glass Czech and Japanese beads hand woven with a needle and fishing line in Ndebele Herringbone stitch. Ribbons of woven beads are then braided into a cuff and fastened with hand woven toggle closure.
