Wise-Olin House, 1128 State, Alton IL.  Built between 1859 and 1865. Peter Wise and his brother Sebastain were pioneers in the Alton flour milling industry. Frank and Mary Olin purchased the house in 1898.  Olin founded Olin Corp manufacturer of ammunition and guns. The 3 story Italianate house has a distinctive front porch with a wrought iron veranda. The 3rd story dormer has Palladian windows.
