Growing up isn't what it used to be: A look back at simpler times (with photos)

♥ Mr. Rogers - When I was a boy and would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother's words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers -- so many caring people in this world. - Fred Rogers

Mr Rogers, part of my childhood! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor. Won't you be mine?

Drive in theater. Sometimes the fun was in how you snuck in. Just saying!

I remembe. date with my blind date who became my first husband. "Lillies of the Field". We took our kids to the drive-in when they were little. Made beds in the back and they slept while we watched the movie. I miss drive-ins.

Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down. I have used this as a mantra in life. I may wobble but I don't fall down.

Whipple squeezing the Charmin. As much as I didn't like the Charmin commercials when Mr. whipple squeezed the charmin, I surely do detest the commercials more now with the ridiculous bears!

Dime Store - Love the wood floors and the shopping baskets---brings back memories! The dime stores I remember always smelled good, too! Tucker's 5 & 10 was awesome but I loved the ones with creaking wooden floors too
