St Marys Junction Station was designated a Heritage Railway Station by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada in 1992. Erected in 1858 by the Grand Trunk Railway, the station served for a time as the western terminus of the line and later became an important junction.
Worlds Largest Fiddle ~Sydney, NS It was part of a plan to revitalize Sydney since local industries such as mining and steel dont provide jobs like they used to. The fiddle, and increased cruiseship traffic, draw thousands of tourists every season to the biggest city in Cape Breton.
