*2*  Mirror with Jael and Barak. Embroidered mirror frame,  c.1672. British.... The figure of Barak is worked separately and attached over an under drawing. The face and arms are made with silk satin padded with wool, his garments are in detached buttonhole stitch worked on wire. His hat band, neck tie, gaiters and shoelaces were all worked in a braiding technique.
