9 year old Kyle Farrier and his mother Lyn have dedicated their entire year to competing in as many marathon and adventure challenges as possible, in order to raise money for cancer research into all types of cancer. Craig Harwood will walk from one side of England to the other following Hadrian’s Wall with his family. The walk will cover a distance of over 135km. To make the task interesting, Craig will wear genuine reproduction roman armour (35kg+) to help raise money for cancer research. Wests Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri is the Club's ambassador for the Blue September charity, which is the official charity partner for Friday's match against South Sydney. Blue September is a nationwide awareness and fundraising initiative about all the cancers that affect men – not just prostate and testicular cancer, but also bowel, lung, liver, pancreatic and other cancers.
