One of newer light rail systems in the US is the RTD Light Rail in Denver. It's an odd honor system - you're supposed to buy your ticket and ride. No turnstyles. Many just ride and don't pay. If you are caught you get two warnings before a moderate fine. How does this system stay in the black? This is the 10th and Osage station at the famous Buckhorn Exchange restaurant. Also it is next to the Denver yard that is filled with Union Pacific engines.
