Raised garden: add pipe to hold hoops for bird netting or shade covers. I always forget this trick!

Raised bed: Attach pipe To hold hoops for bird netting or row covers, attach four pieces of PVC pipe inside the bed: On the long sides, space pipes 4 feet apart, 2 feet from each end; screw on two tube straps to secure each pipe.

After last years failed attempt at growing anything, I was determined this year to make it work. A few weeks ago I built at raised gard.

"We salvaged these pallets from a local warehouse and cut them into thirds. 2 full pallets were used here. 4′x4′ posts screwed to the corners and voila, a beautifully gridded garden bed full of black gold, just waiting for planting. Grid was stapled old venetian blinds. It was inspired by the Square Foot Garden method."
