Help your children prepare  for Lent & Easter. Children in 1st-5th grades are invited to pick up a Passport on “A Journey through Lent to Easter” on Ash Wednesday, March 5 before or after Mass in the Narthex.  Each week the children will be able to collect ‘passport stamp’ stickers for the Sunday Gospel and for Holy Week.

To observe Lent, set up a Lenten tree. Hang Bible verses on the tree, 1 for each day from Ash Wednesday to Good Friday. Each day take a verse & read it. Then pray the verse, read its context, or talk about it. As Easter approaches, the tree will grow more bare & will be empty on Holy Saturday as we remember Christ in the tomb. Easter morning, fill the tree w/ egg ornaments/flowers. [I add read the Resurrection story & sing a Resurrection song w/ the family like Christ the Lord is Risen…
