The beginnings of a roughly-formed sword hilt made out of bronze, horn, & maple wood, now ready for final shaping.  This is the first non-commissioned sword that I've worked on in several years! Which will soon be for sale upon completion on a first-come-first-serve basis.  This sword is being based off of historical early 8th century Merovingian/Late Vendel Period artifacts, specifically the pommel, which is a recreation of an original found in Finland.
