The Chandrian: A fabled group of godlike villains, and the antagonists of the book. At the beginning of the book, they kill all of Kvothe's family and friends, and burn everything he had ever owned to ash. This is Kvothe's purpose throughout the books, to kill the Chandrian and erase them from history.
Chandrian | On Saturday I decided to try my hand at capturing some smoke trails. In playing with them in photoshop today, I hit on this awesome blue color, which in turn reminded me of this quote from one of my favorite books ever, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. If you haven't read it, you should! HSS
Kvothe by Eddy-Swan. "I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs to make the minstrels weep. You may have heard of me."
