This is like a lesson I did with my art 2 class - but we painted the hands using the student's skin tone - so it was combined with a skin tone lesson (*acrylic paint) / explicit line 2

Oil pastel portraits. Use two projectors to project opposing colors at opposite angles while taking source photos.

Use two projectors to project opposing colors at opposite angles while taking source photos. Could be interesting to do self portraits - or drawings of each other?

This example demonstrates an introductory lesson I do in week two with my middle school students with contour. Students create a contour sketch of their hand then work with line and value to complete the drawing using a 5 or 6B pencil. Students experiment with color and material choice for background to finish the piece. This particular student chose chalk pastel. 3 day lesson. -JM Hallie609's art on Artsonia

This would be an awesome group project- and a great display in the classroom.
