This is a lab that helps the students understand the sense of taste. Each group will need 4 cups, one of sugar water, lemon water, salt water and baking soda water.  In this activity the students will dip a swab in each of the different waters and put the swab on different areas of the tongue and detemine which area of the tongue is sensitive to that taste.
