Located in a lush forest in Denmark, Mark Nixon’s sculpture, “Chimecco” sings in the breeze below a bridge. Part of the outdoor exhibition called “Sculpture by the Sea,” in Aarhus, the piece joins sixty four other sculptures by various artists. Dixon’s sculpture is a giant, playful wind chime. With the aid of assistants, the kinetic sculpture was constructed on-site over the course of an entire month.

What we liked:  - Art as infrastructure  - Playful and engaging.  “Slinky Bridge”, Oberhausen, Germany, Tobias Rehberger.  The ‘slinky bridge’ is a seven-kilometre pedestrian experience which was designed as an art installation with a functional use, linking a sports ground to a former castle-turned museum through parkland and across the Rhine-Herne Canal.

CollabCubed has this post on “The Slinky Springs Bridge” in Oberhausen, Germany. The bridge was designed by artist Tobias Rehberger and Schlaich Bergermann and Partner, and was inspired by — you guessed it — the iconic Slinky toy.
