Battle Flag of the Sixth Regiment NC State Troops. This is a seventh bunting Army of Northern Virginia–pattern battle flag. They were issued from the Richmond Clothing Depot, starting in early 1865, without battle honors or unit designations. Because of its late issue, this flag probably remained in regimental hands for only a few weeks. Private Joseph Kimball, Company B, Second West Virginia Cavalry, captured this Sixth North Carolina flag at Sailors Creek, Virginia, on April 6, 1865.
