On October 1st, my team lost to a team we had never lost to before. After the game, our opponent posted this on their Instagram, leading to a lot of drama during the tournament weekend. I, however, avoided all the gossip and drama by not responding on social media. #ahimsa
Last Friday night I volunteered at an office event celebrating people with disabilities and self-advocacy. I got to serve food and converse with some very down-to-earth people. It was so heart-warming to see all the guests having fun, and it made me think about how often society tends to judge people with disabilities, but that night all I could see was a bunch of powerful, confident people. #seva #weareallthesame❤️
I donated some of my old toys (the Sanrio stuffed toys in the picture), some of which I barely used, to my parish to use at our annual parish festival. I also volunteered at the festival by helping out the games and prize booths (unfortunately, I did not take pictures, but if you want to verify you could ask Fr. Bart at St. Clement Parish ). #seva #ahimsachallenge
On October I practiced being non-harming to animals once again when I ordered an Eggs Benedict with avocado instead of meat. I told my mom to take a picture of me, but apparently she took one after I smiled.
