The monument of Dexter Graves, Graceland Cemetery, Chicago -Created by Lorado Taft in this sculpture was at one point entirely black. Chicago smog seems to have taken care of that, but its face is still dark.
Somewhat haphazard but a fascinating piece of the urban landscape. It reminds me a bit of the neighbourhood cemeteries and tombs in New Orleans (if you took the hillside away). Seen from the Hong Kong Trail, stage Hiked today :)
