How gorgeous is this silk brocade jacket? There's three "generations" of style here: the fabric dates from 1715-20 (probably recut from a gown), the jacket itself from 1730-50, with trimming on the sleeves added 1770-80. Snowshill Collection, from "Costume in Detail" by Nancy Bradfield.
