The top element set with a large rectangular cushion-shaped topaz within an old-cut diamond openwork border, with the sides emphasised by curvilinear diamond motifs, attached to an ornamental centre of diamond and topaz scrolls and ivy leaves terminating in a pendeloque  topaz within an old-cut diamond border.

Early 19th century woven coverlet. Four-shaft overshot weaving of blue wool and natural linen. It’s a variation of the “butternut” pattern of large tables separated by three-step crosses. It has side borders of parallel narrow lines. It’s center seamed with a rolled top hem, blanket-stitched with natural cotton.
