Happy anniversary…to us! On Oct. 20 1984 we celebrated our official opening with marching bands, school floats, mermaids and dancing jellies the length of Cannery Row. We even received a telegram from the president! Thank YOU, since we couldn’t have.
They used to have one of these at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, it was my favorite thing to see there. It amazed me how something so large and unlovely could move with such amazing grace and fluidity. Such joy!

Rescued Sea Otter Pup Comes to Monterey Bay Aquarium
Saw this cute little guy a few weeks ago - rescued male Sea Otter pup recently went on exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The rescue, for now named Otter was stranded in November as a three-week-old pup.
