Pedra Liquida for Casa do Conto, Porto, Portugal. When a house burned down, its replacement became the “house of storytelling,” with musings on architecture incised in the concrete ceilings of public spaces and six guest rooms.

I love the idea of a natural landscape superimposed in ultra clean design. I had grand plans to paint gold bamboo on my green bedroom walls. This is infinitely more elegant. And doesn't involve the ACTUAL outdoors.
A low platform bed frame stained black alongside marble-topped tables achieves the effect. An oversize black and white graphic painting against beige walls helps furniture to feel grounded in the soaring room.
