5. So I wanted to know what the hype was all about and then proceeded to get sucked in big time myself: reading all 3 books in 3 days without doing much else. Really great pageturners with unexpected twists and a rather original view on things (oh how I wish they had expanded on the "Katniss having to play it up for the cameras" storyline in the movies)

The Giver by Lois Lowry - I believe production has started on a movie version...I love it when my favorite books become movies!

The giver- my teacher made me read this book in like the or grade. i still remember it and it was actually not that bad- it got the attention of a middle school student so it had to be at least decent you figure. but i enjoyed it and i recommend it.
