Suki Waterhouse models French Connection. I like the contrasting background here to bring out the white outfit. I also like the bright lighting, I prefer less moody shots as I feel it shows off the outfits more. I also like that the only shadow is hers. The picture has a very light and easy feeling to it with the only mood being brought in by Suki's facial expression. I think a soft box has been used due to the softness of her skin and shadow.
Monochrome Monday with Alexandra Bellissimo If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! This goes a bit further than the usual monochrome photography we post on Monday, wouldn’t you say? I really like how unique and conceptual Alexandra’s images are, her creations sit perfectly on that fine line between purely aesthetic and thought-provoking.
I like this photo, I like the slightly Polaroid effect on the photo, it looks very vintage and then the words and blank paper added on is really effective because it makes the photo stand out and appear much more interesting.
An image of a girl holding up a photo of the face of a Barbie doll. I love this piece as it implies that society and the media portray an image of 'the perfect and beautiful woman' and its all girls ever want to be and such importance is put upon it, however the perfect woman isn't real, it is only plastic or models have been photo-shopped etc.
