Farmer’s wife: Railroad--This was an easy block, squares and half square triangles are a safe harbour. Railroad But I like it very much. It’s so inspiring to see what you can make out of two “simple” forms.
Need to learn: Quilt-As-You-Go-blocks to batting.and then add backing, quilting only in the ditch between blocks.it lets the quilting inside the blocks be creative, but you'r not dealing with the whole quilt and the back is just squares.
tutorial, starts with inch squares. so Easy. I have used this method many times. Starting with two 4 inch squares you end up with a 3 inch nine patch. Start with two 7 inch squares to end with a 6 inch nine patch.
