One of my projects was Wanango Golf Club at Oil City, PA. It is a Tillinghast design built in 1926 that was a playground for the oil barons of the day. When the barons moved away the golf course went from blue-blood to blue collar. The old clubhouse was almost spooky to crawl around. The superintendent told me they were putting on the original bent grass greens. What an interesting place. Great people too!
Loved playing here. Bow River and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, Banff, Alberta. Notice the colour of the water, it is glacier water and had a lot of powdered rock in it which makes it green and murky.
