Het is maar al te aannemelijk dat deze foto in scene werd gezet of met voorbedachte raden door een van de PK fotografen werd genomen. Het is zo mogelijk de bekenste foto van de luchtlandingen in mei 1940.

A well camoflaged machine gun position manned by German paratroopers. The MG42 seen here was responsible for the majority of casualties on D-Day and became feared due to its high volume of fire. So successful was this weapon it is still in use to this day some 72 years after it's creation with various Armies of the world.
