Wire sculpture

Polish-born artist Barbara Licha now lives and works in Sydney, Australia. Though she also works in paint and other forms of mixed media, her tangled wire sculptures of figures in various poses and states of suspension really caught my eye.

"Afterlife Afterthought" by Peruvian-American artist Emil Alzamora. This one is particularly odd because it also the perfect image of a "rokurokubi" -- a traditional Japanese monster/ghost. It's unclear whether the connection was intentional or not.
