September 2004, Stoke Newington Church Street, baby central for north London. RML2528 has just emerged from the Bugaboo pram zone on the last day of RM operation. Logo on the side advertising the 50th anniversary of the Routemaster bus , not long after the get together in Finsbury Park.

This is one of the two terraces that completely disappeared after WW2 bomb damage. On the left, Northampton Street is just seen, with the terrace running down to Canonbury Street. Beyond, stands St Matthews church which was also damaged and subsequently demolished. Apartment blocks now stand here, although during spring and summer, they are almost completely obscured by mature trees - see next picture in this set. N.B.
