We tried our hand at making homemade puffy paint for the first time, and we couldn't get enough of it. In addition to the fact that it dries in three dimensions, the paint may be mixed with different colors and sprinkled with glitter or other creative supplies, all of which will attach to the paint. We used it to create some 3D puffy Easter eggs, and you can make one of your own using our free Egg Template and Puffy Paint Craft Recipe, both of which are available here.
These paint chip puzzles were simple to make, and my children (a toddler and a preschooler) both enjoyed them. They will be able to use the colors of the Easter eggs as clues to put the puzzle pieces back together again and again. To make a simple busy bag activity out of your puzzle pieces, you can place them in a bag. Using puzzles to improve concentration, problem-solving abilities, and visual skills is a great idea.
Here's a quick and simple Easter craft that even toddlers can participate in. After struggling to think of an Easter craft that I had never seen before, I kept seeing instructions for decorating Easter eggs all over the place and thought, "Why not use the egg itself to do the decorating?" I poured some paint into our egg tray and set it aside for my daughter to play with. She had a great time, and I think her artwork is particularly outstanding!
