Before RML 2701 was transferred to Holloway for the 14s, it's first shed in this guise was Upton Park. Running as U 87 on its usual haunt, the 15s, the 'Tartan Beer' bus is departing the Ladbroke Grove terminus bound for the eastern end of the route. Garaged only five minutes from East Ham 'White Horse', maybe the crew will come off on their break, or most likely the bus just visible behind in St Charles Square will have caught it up, so intense was the service at times. Strathclyde's Buses LO9 CGG 832X
Strathlcyde PTE LO9 was a Leyland Olympian with full height Roe body, one of 10 delivered in 1981 as part of the post Atlantean triple sourcing policy. It was one of the longest lasting of the batch making it into the First Glasgow era although five of its sisters were lost in the Larkfield Fire of 1992. LO9 is seen working from Larkfield in August 1987 on a 5 from St Enoch to Castlemilk passing Ailsa A60 on Castlemilk Drive.
