HMS Duke of York - Royal Navy 14 inch gunned battleship - King George V class

15 in battleships HMS Valiant (nearest), HMS Queen Elizabeth (class name ship) and HMS Barham - date unknown but probably late 1930s / 1940: it is hard to see here, but by then the former two had been fitted with a modernised 'box' bridge (Barham, sunk in November 1941, never was, and her old style fore top is plainly visible). These are 3 of the most famous battleship class to serve with the Royal Navy across both World Wars, the missing sisters being Warspite and Malaya.
