PurpleCoat presented its 2011 Christmas Production at the Lantern Liverpool, playing there for the first time. It's sold out run of the classic Northern comedy, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, received rave reviews, and went down as PurpleCoat's most celebrated play to date. Dir: Karl Falconer
Fulfilling their long term ambition to launch a full scale revival of Titus Andronicus, PurpleCoat re-imagined their 2011 production for a new revival at the Unity Theatre in 2013, commissioned as part of their Making Art Scheme. Its sold out run with a mix of old and new cast kickstarted their 5th year celebrations. Dir: Karl Falconer
Harold Pinter's darkest play was brought to Liverpool in 2013 with PurpleCoat hitting the claustrophobic tragedy with full force. The twisted story of the East London brothers and their decaying father, Max, and their manipulation and eventual entrapment by the sinister actions of their sister in law, The Homecoming is a deeply disturbing portrayal of sex, relationships and family. Dir: Karl Falconer
Our second ever theatre production and our first Shakespeare, Midsummer played at The Valley Community Theatre in November 2010. Probably the only Midsummer ever to play in November, the play mixed a modern soundtrack with an innovative style to create a fun, heartfelt and magical retelling of Shakespeare's greatest comedy. Dir: Karl Falconer, Calum Green
