Commercial actors are trained to get into position before delivering their lines or starting any movement, and then holding still at the end of their delivery until the director says "CUT!" Non-actors often begin moving and/or speaking as soon as the camera starts rolling -- and we see hands pushing record buttons, arm pits, and awkward expressions. When you turn the camera on, stop! Give yourself at LEAST 5⃣-seconds before & after speaking -- this gives you room to edit out the awkward parts!
