An often forgotten era, stuck between WW2 war effort and raging 1960s. A cinematic era of huge changes, vast crowds and mobility. The drive in theatre with all it's colour and unrivaled popularity brought the cinema outdoors and with it neon signs and hundreds and thousands of light bulbs. The signage from this time reflects this mood in America of a new world, opportunities and free time - the precursor to leisure and a constant reference point to us at readerboards
