When you travel to Paris, one thing that will strike you about the district of Montmartre is the number of street performers that really make this area what it is. Montmartre has become famous for its association with artists and musicians and the have kept up this reputation over the years, providing some of the best entertainers in the world on their streets. The flame throwers I came across outside Sacre-Coeur were incredible and so much fun to photograph!

The intricate iron work of one of the most iconic structures in the world, the Eiffel Tower. When we travel we tend to go straight for the touristy landmarks. Of course the view from the top of the tower is amazing, but it's a travel photography delight to look up once in a while!

The area around Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre is famed for its musicians and artists. The streets are filled with them on a fair day, where they attempt to make a few extra Euros each day. Out side Sacre-Coeur in Paris I came across the most extraordinary jazz violinist I have heard since Stefan Grapelli! He was fantastic and provided an awesome photo opportunity with the backdrop of Paris! Travel to Paris and be treated with an array of street performers! Photography

The iconic Moulin Rouge of Montmartre, Paris. Apparently Joseph Oller, the man who built the Moulin Rouge in 1889, added a windmill as a nod to the surrounding area of Montmartre and its windmill history, from when it was once a small village before being swallowed up by the city of Paris. It is believed that the Moulin Rouge is painted red to signify the city's red light district. A must see if you travel to Paris! Photography!

Photographer Adrienne Pitts Takes Us to the Hidden Corners of Paris
On a recent trip to Paris, I traveled with the intention of staying off the boulevards and out of the parks, and finding some places that aren’t in guidebooks. And I found them: hidden corners to explore, charming streets to wander down, and nooks and crannies from which you can watch the world go by. Now, I’d like to pass these places on to you so that you, too, can dig a bit deeper and travel a little more off the beaten path.
