In late 2004 and early the former Elgin Place Congressional Church was demolished because it had become a danger to the public. This is Elgin Place Congregational Church, Glasgow. It was sited at 240 Bath Street, at the junction with Pitt Street. It was built in 1856 and was used as a church until 1962 when it closed its doors. It sat vacant and unused until 1982 when it was remodelled inside and was reopened as the Cardinal Follies nightclub. It was renamed various times - Temple, Shack and finally Trash.
