Massive chunk of wild honeycomb! Photo by: Tarsh and Tariq Thekaekara

Honey is Life - The Kattunayakan are tribal people who live deep in the forests in South India. They collect and sell wild honey. Children as young as 8 go along and actively participate in harvesting the honey from trees up to 80 ft high.

Every fall, I’m always a little late on the leaf crafts. There is such a small window where I live of when the leaves are a true rainbow array of colors, and there are so many lovely things to do with orange, yellow, green, and even brown leaves....

Autumn Art: Use beautiful fall leaves as canvases for doodle designs. Press colorful finds inside a heavy book for about 10 days, then draw on them with metallic paint markers. To add a bit more strength and shine, seal the finished leaves with Mod Podge.
