Teacher's Pet - FREE Classroom Display Resources for Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)

Having posters that encourage and support trial and error, rather than mastery, support a safe classroom environment where students feel safe to make mistakes.

I love these ladybird counters! Made using: bottle tops, a permanent marker and some googly eyes. Perfect for counting, game counters or what about sorting?

Bottle top ladybugs (turn into math game by varying the # of spots, write numeral on bottom for self-checking) I'd use plastic bottle caps for this.

Looks inspiring, just what the kids and I need. Outdoor phonics ideas.

In this activity, the letter combinations are hung around the room and students are to stand by the correct letters which they hear when the teacher reads a word. This helps students to correspond sounds that they hear to letters that they see.

I use this to reiterate sight words, theme words, etc. each week. The kids high five each word and say them out loud before they leave the classroom. They LOVE it and I can see who knows their sounds and who needs extra help!
