gutter garden

Keep rabbits from eating! RAIN GUTTERS: Don’t have the yard space for a garden? Or simply just don't want to risk your kids running through it? Attach rain gutters to the side of your house to create a lovely herb and salad garden.

Mini Manhattan garden At just 1,200 square feet, this is the second smallest house in Manhattan. When two architects, Anne Fairfax and Richard Sammons, bought it, they transformed it to create a bijou interior with a sense of spaciousness that belies its exterior appearance. Leading out of the kitchen is a small enclosed garden with ivy topiary.

Log Pathway. I would grout the path and use a darker grout for shading to give the impression of depth.

Reuse an old tree to make a log pathway in your garden. Good use of "yard" trees and other wood that can't be milled; works much better in climates without termites. Good drainage under the log rounds will make the path last longer.

We love this idea, it would work really well in smaller gardens and courtyards.

A lovely flower pot display for the garden using an old ladder and potted plant colour. Would suit a patio or a small garden or balcony.

Lovely brick courtyard garden All greens, no flowers- easy.

Chestnut Street Hidden Garden - this is such a pretty evergreen garden that will look great all year round! Love this Brick Herringbone Brick Path!

A steel framework is covered with climbing roses to provide a romantic patio for two in a corner of the garden. If your garden already has a large shade tree you could consider building a patio under the canopy for a cool, shady retreat.

This is great idea for the patio next to guest house. I'll take one for my garden please! Cottage-Style Landscape Design via

Outdoor shower/water day for kids.Could easily be made with hollow box uprights, run the water tube through one and the top hollow box with a PVC tube that you drill holes in for the water to run out. Faux paint it to look like copper, really pretty easy.
