Used for subtraction from ten with the Early Years - this looks like a great way to keep maths fun! This can also be adapted by labelling each pin from 1-10. Whichever ones have been knocked down, the child must add them up e.g. knocks down number 4, 7 and 9. The child must then add these up to find the total.

Ordering numbers... sticking them into play-doh... kids like anything with play-doh

Write the numbers on a set of popsicle sticks. To add extra support, draw dots on the popsicle sticks to match the number written on them. Students line up the numbers and stick them in the play doh. Could also be done with tricky teens.
