The one that got away
Southend on Sea Rally, June 1975. Former Bristol Commercial Vehicles demonstrator and Bristol Omnibus Company C5000, HHW933D, one of two 1966 prototype Bristol VRL6G 80-seat buses, then, with its sister, with Osbornes of Tollesbury in Essex. Sister bus GGM431D was later "put aside" for preservation, but eventually succombed to the breakers' torch because of the inability to find a unique transmission part.
