I really like this piece of work as it reminds me of the work I have been doing in school where I have been having something that reminds me of my father and stitching over or into it.

These pieces by Julia Wright are exactly what I love about mixed media textiles! During my 1st year I was drawn to rust and mark making which I haven't spent much time on. Last week, after a resent tutorial I decided to look back at what I'm really interested in and I'm going to look into storytelling through rust, found objects and stitch. It also helps me think about how I can use natural elements to effect fabric.
