Giant Shape Sort - cute idea! you could use painters tape on floor (or table top) and have the kids do a scavenger hunt around the classroom to find the 4 shapes- good culminating activity for the end!!

Gemstone outlined shapes. The children made some brilliant patterns with the coloured gems and talked about the properties of the shape as they created the outlines.
Bear in the Cave Game ...love this idea for subtraction. Lots of good math games.
