Did you know that a glass of apple juice contains 25g sugar per 250ml glass, which is 6 teaspoons?! This is the same amount as a 250ml glass of coke! Juices are not whole foods, the process of juicing removes the fibre, making the sugar much more absorbable, so they can have a substantial impact on blood sugar. 3 medium-sized apples yield 250ml (1 cup) juice.
