E.W. GODWIN Walnut Captains Swivel Chair / Armchair for James Peddle Circa 1881 85cm high.  A design classic attributed to Edward William Godwin, the 'Godfather of the Modern Movement'.     For reference see The Secular Furniture of E.W. Godwin, New York 1999, by Susan Weber Soros page 131 plate 178.     The chair is amazingly comfortable & ergonomically designed.     Size: 85cm high x 56cm wide.   In excellent condition & the swivel mechanism works perfectly.

A rare matching pair of Antique Arts and Crafts tiger oak armchairs designed by E.G. Punnett for the High Wycombe based firm of William Birch who retailed through Liberty & Co. of London.  Of outstanding architectural form, the chair's design is both simple yet ingenious based on a triangle formation their design lends themselves perfectly to Punnett's ingenious design principles - sturdy yet delicate with true architect beliefs & principles...chairs for the true design purist. #interiordesign

Alexander Ritchie Iona Arts and Crafts Glasgow Style Hanging Copper Pipe or Spoon Rack A rare example of an arts and crafts hand hammered hanging copper pipe or spoon holder/rack by Alexander Ritchie of Iona c. 1900. Decorated with highly stylised Glasgow plant forms and Celtic revival entrelac knot work, a leaping Griffin and a most endearing Gaelic phrase "cariad dileas" translating to "faithful friend". Size: 29cm high x 23cm wide. In excellent condition retaining its original patina.

An extremely rare & important large Glasgow School planished copper wall mirror by Margaret Gilmour c1900.  The ‘A’ line frame is decorated with two stylised Glasgow rose cartouches . There are 4 bright blue enamel roundels and a large central blue Ruskin cabochon.  The wall mirror encapsulates the essence of pure Glasgow design, simple and restrained with strong architectural linearity. The enamel and Ruskin arrangement highlights these principles beautifully.
