This work explore the ways the surfaces of the body can be perfected - 'so that we are not reminded of the mutability, fragility of our bodies' Clancy (the artist)says. By creating images of scarred skin, with capillaries visible on the surface, Clancy ephasises our somatic nature. Carl Beazley is a U.K based artist specialising in experimental / surrealist portraiture. He grew up in Berkshire, England. Completely self taught, he began by painting in the corner of his kitchen in 2012. In the summer of 2013 he converted his garage into a studio and since then, has exhibited work at the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts, London after being shortlisted for BBC1’s summer arts competition.
