Like this idea for developing subitising skills by recognising the Numicon pieces quickly, simple addition, counting on skills. Would be great for children with poor number recognition. Fab idea for an EYFS snakes and ladders.

Use aqua beads with numicon shapes. Fish out a shape, then fill it in with beads, counting out loud!

Activity may be very useful for pupils who enjoy "hands on" activities and are hard to motivate. Boys in particular will like this.
