As always, another off-kilter, skewed, slightly p-&£"d, photograph of my art work, to imply what can be plucked from mere imagination. This was my first classical painting in almost 20 years. It's also the first realistic scene I've ever painted. The scene spans a busy street with traffic and buildings, but that's for my agents eyes only at the mo. I decided on a South American colour palette... No idea why. Just wanted retro. :)

Quick, but filled page in my sketchbook. Doesn't matter how crap it is... Keep jotting things down.

Digital rough of my craggy faced old Dad. No better padre has existed on this orb, to deal with my level of required parenting, though, I'd be lying if I said he wasn't a man to be feared by some, during his one or two darker moments.

Got around to scanning this rough properly, rather than iPhone photo it from a funny angle. True Detective by Ross Trower of Mcconaughey's and Harrelson's latest vehicle.

I've decided to always throw a rough coat of paint on first... Being that this is my third classical painting (of something realistic) ever and my seventh painting since being born... Well... Blocking in the main areas, helps me get an idea of what I'm going to detail. As extensive as my drawings are, I still make changes all the way through to the finish line when applying paint.

Before beginning the serious painting stage on a project, I transfer an enlarged photocopy of my drawing onto the colour prepped canvas, using white trace down paper. It saves a serious amount of time. I don't like projectors, as I've seen some distortion occur... I don't want to ruin my pencils accuracy with optical anomalies.
