RAF Coltishall became home to the Sepecat Jaguar in August, 1974 with the arrival of No. 54 Squadron, RAF (disbanded March, 2005). November, 1974, saw the arrival of 6 Squadron, RAF (moved to RAF Coningsby April, 2006). 41 Squadron RAF formed at RAF Coltishall in 1976 (disbanded April, 2006). 16 (R) Squadron was formed and arrived July, 2000 (disbanded March, 2005), from RAF Lossiemouth.
